Question 1

Is BatteryCareers free to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes. BatteryCareers is always free for job seekers, with no expiration. Employer platform access is free through December 31, 2026; paid employer access is planned to begin January 1, 2027, with pricing determined separately.

Question 2

What is the Founding Member offer?

Accepted Answer

The first 50 eligible employers receive free access to the AI Recruiting Companion, including up to 25 qualified contact unlocks per month, through December 31, 2026.

Question 3

What is the AI Recruiting Companion?

Accepted Answer

It's the employer-side AI assistant. You enter criteria — job title, sector, cell chemistry, keywords, and experience — and it searches the battery talent database, ranks candidates by fit, and surfaces how to reach them.

Question 4

What is the AI Careers Companion?

Accepted Answer

It's the candidate-side assistant that helps you build and tailor resumes, write cover letters, optimize your profile, identify skills and keywords, compare your background to a role, and prepare for interviews. It is live now for candidate accounts and includes a meaningful free monthly allowance, with fair-use limits to manage AI costs; core candidate access always remains free.

Question 5

Is the candidate data real?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every prospect the Recruiting Companion surfaces is a real record — opted-in BatteryCareers members, the private owner-curated Founder Network, and battery professionals with published technical work via public sources such as OpenAlex — and each one carries source evidence you can verify. We are adding further lawful public-source connectors (such as ORCID and USPTO open data) over time. We do not use fabricated sample profiles in the product.

Question 6

Does the AI contact candidates automatically?

Accepted Answer

No. Outreach is draft-only — the platform helps employers draft messages to review and send manually. The platform does not send messages autonomously.

Question 7

How is my personal information protected?

Accepted Answer

Candidate contact details are only revealed to authorized employers, and sensitive details like salary expectations are never shown in public listings. You can control your profile visibility and request export or deletion of your data.

Question 8

When does billing start?

Accepted Answer

Not yet — and never for job seekers. Core candidate access is always free. Billing infrastructure is being prepared only for potential future employer pricing, and there are no charges during the current free-access period.
